PRICING

Many things go into pricing a puppy. Are both of the parent’s champions, proven working dogs, health tested? Is just one? The price range on a litter from proven working dogs is higher.   Are the buyers interested in a working quality pup, breeding quality pup? Is a pet/companion their choice? That’s a factor. A breeding quality pup is the most expensive because any pups produced from any of my pups affects how people view my kennel. Pet quality of course would be the cheapest. So within each litter there is about a $500.00 - a $1000.00 range difference between the cost of some of the pups. We require a $ 250.00 deposit, which will be refunded if we are unable to provide you a puppy when promised. This is my process.

PUPPY PLACEMENT

As I am the caregiver I know most everything about these, my pups. I do not allow or encourage choosing a puppy. My process is to raise them to 12 weeks . By then I've observed, taken notes and compared the pups to see who meets the standard and those that do are show quality and those that don't become pet quality with no breeding rights.

That same day structure is evaluated as to how closely each pup conforms to the breed standard. Beyond that for 18 months they are in several different awkward growth stages. Along the process I am always in contact with prospective buyers taking their input, and working with them to assure a smooth transition. I take into account if they have favorites from our weekly picture updates and it all is part of my decision. I do make the final decision.

WHAT YOUR PUPPY WILL HAVE, & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Your puppy will have been to the vet several times. We call them “well puppy” visits. This includes a comprehensive exam, fecal test for parasites, and standard worming regardless of negative fecal. One sets of puppy shots in the 3 set series, it is your responsibility to get the last two sets, I will expect vet receipts for those visits as required in my record keeping for each litter. I will provide receipts for the vet calls I perform... They will be Micro chipped. They will also come with the Common Ground Shepherds puppy Pack and information on the breed, food, puppy advise, training tips, anything you will need to know. I am here for the new owners day or night for advice or help I can offer for the life of the dog.

SHIPPING

I will ship only Delta Air Cargo, 'Pet First" dept. Weather is carefully checked on both sides and health certificate is required from within days of shipping. The added cost of shipping will be added to the cost of the pup.  Puppies with Limited Registrations will not be shipped overseas. You are also welcome to pick up your pup, in fact I encourage it.  I prefer to meet the families my pups will go to. All airline prices subject to change, and often do!!

All pet/family dogs are sold on limited registrations. This is not negotiable. I can easily reverse the process if any owner decides to show their dog later on down the road. Not every puppy is show, working or breed quality.

Health & Hip Guarantee...What is & is not guaranteed.

My health guarantee guarantee's this puppy against life threatening genetic illnesses. Meaning, if your puppy should die of a genetic illness I will replace your pup. Proof of illness required in the form of Vet receipts and or autopsied. If your pup has a skin problem...this unfortunately happens sometimes. I never breed dogs with these issues but from time to time it's in the lines and I can’t always predict it. Other things in this category are allergies, sensitive stomachs and so on. Now if the issues are severe and you wish to have a different pup I will do that. In those cases I will take back the dog that has been deemed unsatisfactory and attempt to treat them myself. My hip guarantee is exactly that, if dog’s hips do not pass OFA at 2 years of age I will replace your puppy. I do not expect to get the first dog back, but will of course take it back if so desired. Any issue that is caused by poor care of this pup is easily determined. Poor care comes in many forms. Including ignorance of proper care. Poor health in General can be caused by cheap dog food ( Ol Roy, Sunshine chunks, etc) Causing diarrhea and dull coats & eyes. Overweight pups will stress bones & joints, keep them lean. You SHOULD be able to see first 2 ribs, no matter what your vet tells you. GSD's are a breed apart in this. Although many breeds of dogs are kept overweight, doing damage to young bones. Dogs should rest 30-45 minutes after eating. Bloat can occur from playing right after food.
